Today’s blog is with a mere purpose of talking and getting to know your perspective, as a result I am going to ask everyone a simple question.
I am pretty sure all of you would love talking about it, so my question for you all is;
What is your thinking process when you buy a product online?
If you are anything like me, then I know it for real that you would enjoy talking about online shopping, making this post a fun and no-brainer π
I hope this question is thought-provoking for you all and everyone enjoy answering it.
Looking forward for your answers πβοΈ
Have a beautiful day!!

Being of a certain age, I prefer to physically hold a product in my hands before buying. Online it is so very easy to shop but I’m afraid I still prefer human interaction! π

Ahhh, that’s a valid point, human interaction these days has become very rare, especially because of the pandemic.

I donβt real shop, Iβm a list person, in and out as quickly as possible and Iβm the same online. If I need something I find it and buy it as quickly as possible, what does take a lot of time is the deciding that I actually need it.

That’s an efficient approach, indeedπ
My approach is kind of similar, just a bit more time consuming, because I spend a lot of time looking for the same product π π

I shop on line when I can’t find something locally, especially from a local small business. I don’t like using Amazon, etc., but sometimes I simply cannot find what I want here in Vermont. For books, I use my independent bookseller on the Square here in town, and she can often order in a book faster than I can get it shipped from Amazon! If not, there is on-line indie booksellers that will direct you to a local shop.

I tend to buy online out of convinced but only when I already want something. I am rarely scrolling through online stores to see if there is anything I want. Except maybe books.

Still not easy for me to buy online! I like to see products in real.
But I do it from time to time of course and I like when I can read what other people thought about the product. When results are good I am more keen to buy but when returns are bad I think about it twice!

I (Kellye) do scroll all the options then I put the one I think I want in my cart so I donβt lose it. I will usually read the reviews, and if theyβre good, I click to buy. I tend to be an impulse buyer in stores and do most of my shopping online.

Hi Butterfly. I’m sorry I’ve been absent from your blog for a few days. I’ve had a couple of, shall we say, eventful days with everything breaking down on me. At least, I wasn’t the one breaking down – almost, but not quite. I finally wrote about it last night after having a tough day. I can see the funny side of it now, though.
Back to you, online shopping – yes, I do shop that way a lot, mainly because, being disabled, it’s not easy for me to get out, and if I can, I can’t carry much back on my wheelchair. So, online shopping is invaluable to me. I hate using Amazon because of the way they treat their staff and their somewhat lacking morals. However, I don’t always have the choice if it’s something large or if I can’t get it locally. I usually know what I need and go straight to it on the website, but I also get distracted by other goods. I don’t always resist the temptation either; then, I have to send things back, which is more complicated than ordering in the first place. Am I making any sense here? I don’t think I am. Sorry, if not, it’s been a stressful couple of days. I’ll try and keep up with your posts now I’m back on track. Take care, Butterfly. Ellie π Xx

Hey, it’s okay…I read your post…I can understandπ
You are making sense π―
Honestly, sometimes I feel amazon is a bit too overrated, but then again I do need it due to lack of good options…though I would be more than happy to shop from another website ykππ

I like to buy things I cannot carry, I don’t have a car, so online shopping for me is ease of getting what I need, tend to buy lot of intangible good, like software, or large items, computers, equipment, an exception is basic clothing, and grocery…I hate shopping π can’t stand wading through alleys, strolling through mass of peoples…I am social but not for shopping π When buying online I tried to take into account where it does come from, cost, and quality especially for more technical stuff, usually I kind of know what I want, of course I have to rely on specs and hope nothing is ‘hided’ or half truth…not a lie but not entirely true either π In short I find it is an easier way for me, did not try buying art supplies online, but it should be fine, I know pretty well all the goods and I know what I am using, there always a bit of place for experimenting, but either online or physical, there always the need to try and decide if it was worthed.

That’s great, you know online shopping really solves a lot of problems with ease.
I usually don’t really read everything, but enough to be assure of it’s authenticity.
Same I think I am pretty social l, however, definitely a hard core introvert when it comes to shopping ππ

We do a lot of our grocery shopping through Walmart delivery, but I like to choose some of our meat, fresh fruit, and vegetables myself in a grocery store. We have Amazon Prime and do a lot of shopping on Amazon, but some clothing needs to be tried on in a store.
This is a very timely question. When I was younger, I used to enjoy shopping in person, but online shopping saves a lot of my limited energy now. On the other hand, it would be sad to see actual stores disappear.

Hi, Butterfly, interesting prompt! Before I buy online, I make sure the site is secure & I consider what kinds of companies might buy my info from the retailer to bombard me with emails afterwards! Oh, and I try to get free shipping if possible. I’d rather do all my shopping locally, due to the packaging & energy needed for delivery of online products, but some things I cannot get from other sources. I do hate to see brick and mortar shops disappearing, though. How about you? π

I mostly do online shopping from amazon so I don’t really worry about email spam or about my privacy for that matter, and as far as local shops are considered…honestly I believe that local shops could benefit a lot from coming online…as a matter of fact it might just save them some rental money π·
